Burnbridge Wanderers Junior Football Club was founded on 1st June 1999, The club is a community and family based and England Football Accredited run to provide facilities and competitive grassroots football for boys and girls aged from 5 years and upwards.

We are a well organised and well run club that is 2 star England Football Accredited, gained by clubs who meet the best practice standards for coaching, administration and child protection, with all of our coaches being FA qualified.

The under 7 to under 16 teams play in The Woodspring Junior Football League & our under 18s playing in the Somerset U18s Youth League. We also have a full under 14’s girls team which plays in the Somerset Girls Football League. Our youngest age group, our under 6 train weekly all year.

Burnbridge Wanderers is a fun club for our children and of a size for parents to feel involved in running junior football. All of us have a great time whether playing, helping, organising or watching.

At the core of our identity is a family atmosphere where our children learn their football through encouragement and good coaching. The club provides structured football training and matches in a safe, friendly environment, for both boys and girls from under 6s to under 18s.
The club is run on a voluntarily basis, but is assisted by individual, local and national businesses, who have kindly provided sponsorship for the teams to supply much needed equipment such as team clothing, footballs, training aids and goals etc.
Burnbridge Wanderers JFC is affiliated to the Somerset Football Association and abides by the rules and constitution of this body. All of our coaches hold junior management positions, child protection certification, first aid and FA coaching accreditation as a minimum.

With a training ground & home pitch at the The King Alfred School, Highbridge and additional use of grounds at Highbridge Rec, and Pawlett. Burnbridge Wanderers JFC, is the face of junior football in Highbridge, Burnham on Sea and the wider Somerset area.

Our club has over 200 members, and we will play against over 60 teams each year in FA League matches & friendlies. We also hold a very successful annual Football Festival and have done so for the last 10 years, that in 2018, drew in 112 teams from across many counties over the 2 day festival. We have a growing, active social media arena via our website and we are also on Facebook & Twitter primarily, but also utilise Instagram, all with opportunities to promote.
